1980 Honda CX500 Custom for sale in great mechanical and cosmetic condition, everything stock. Currently in use and insured on collector plates - insurance is under $15/month!
I've babied this beauty, driven only in summer months and stored in heated dry storage through the winters with fuel stabilizer, a battery tender, and seasonal oil and filter changes. Very little rust. A few nicks here and there, a crack through one half of the the bar holding the signal lights (see picture), but overall in remarkably good shape for a bike of this age. So much nice chrome.
88,000km. The bike is running well with no issues needing attention, ready to ride. Starts up every time without a problem. The tires and battery have been replaced recently. It's a very comfortable bike, plenty of power for a 500cc, rides great in town and on the highway. The only issue to note is a minor coolant leak, nothing major but a few drops onto the ground after a good ride, doesn't lose any significant amount. This was disclosed to me by the previous owner as a stable issue, and it has remained unchanged for the five years I've owned it.
Comes with a luggage rack, passenger backrest, saddle bags, a cover, battery tender, and a helmet if you want one. I'll honestly be very sad to see this one go, but with a car and a bicycle my transportation needs are covered so it's time to pass it on. Call, text, or email with any questions.
